Over the years that followed, his knowledge and experience grew into a much wider field; including general cleaning, carpet/upholstery cleaning, stripping and polishing hard surface flooring, and even jet washing. Also, his honesty, trust and enthusiasm was always clear for everyone to see.

Mark, who now runs the business, was still at school at the time spent many weekends and school holidays helping his Dad with a range of tasks. Initially filling and emptying carpet cleaners, changing water, refilling spray bottles, as well as making the tea… he was also watching, listening and learning, without even realising it.

So, in 2002, as a 16-year-old school leaver, there was only ever going to be one job for Mark and he followed his Dad into the family business. 

Pete has now retired and Mark runs the business and the company is stronger than ever. Just as importantly, that passion and love for the job has well and truly passed to Mark, who enjoys the work as much now as he did back then. 

The majority of my work these days consists of carpet, upholstery and window cleaning, but Ward’s Cleaning Services consistently adapt and move into new fields as people’s cleaning needs change. Using the latest equipment and solutions, along with countless years knowledge and with that same honesty, trust and enthusiasm, it’s a pretty good combination that continues to impress customers.
